Friday Favorites!

It’s so funny how every school year I’m so HIGHLY aware of Friday. How many days until…almost there… and in the summer, every day feels like a Friday! Have some really fun favorites from the past week that I know I’ll be so happy to have a record of in pictures:)

First up, WE BOUGHT A JEEP!

First up, WE BOUGHT A JEEP!

A ‘97 Jeep Wrangler. We weren’t looking for one, but have sat on our porch countless times watching top-off Jeeps on Sunday drives down our twisty turny road and said “That would be so fun one day!”

Tug’s first ride to town in it:) Philip and I both kept saying what a good day it was all around. The kind you hope to never forget. I told him that I felt like in 50 years, we’d talk about that random Monday that he had one day off and we bought a Jeep.

Maybe it’ll still be around when these girls are learning to drive;)

Still. Pesto. Everything. I used my dough from last week’s sourdough starter to make rolls, threw a pack of boneless skinless chicken thighs in the crockpot with 1/2 cup pesto per pound and shredded to make pesto chicken sliders for dinner.

Pesto pasta with grilled shrimp and garden cherry tomatoes makes for the best (and easiest) lunch!

This really should be number one. SLEEP TRAINING happened for Logan this week and we are all happier for it:) She is doing amazing. It’s night six and we had NO crying going down and she is sleeping soundly as I type! @takingcarababies, you’re my hero! She now goes down around 7 (depending on when her last nap ends) and I wake her at 7am!

Our town Farmers Market coming up:) We have 45 vendors signed up and I’m working on a scavenger hunt this week for the kids to make sure they hit each booth. The vendor riddles coming in for their booths are the BEST!

My teacher friend and her two sweet kids do a lemonade stand each year. This year, they decided they wanted to give all proceeds to two organizations close to them. Colors for a Cause and St. Judes. They were out there one day and raised well over $1,000! How great! Landry is just like her momma. She was so excited to go to town, (we don’t get out much! haha) and it made it a thousand times more special to surprise her with this fun stop!

I love kids. I love their big, big hearts!

Y’all remember Landry picking out her very own plant to take care of?
