Friday Favorites
It’s been a couple weeks. I’ve missed looking back at sweet moments from the week! For a bit there, the sweet moments seemed few and far between. But here we are, window open, feeling like Fall is on the way and excited for all it brings! Hopefully, accidents and hurricane days are behind us for a good long bit!
This sweet girl had a nasty accident three weeks ago. A plastic toy fell from a basket above her in the bathtub and cut her lip so badly, it went from a “let’s take a quick bath and go get ice cream” night, to an emergency room night:/ The FAVORITE part of this though is how tough she was. I was so proud of her. She handled it all so well and I’ve said over and over that I will never forget her sweet little attitude that night and even the days that followed. I would ask her if it hurt and she would say “It just feels funny” with shrug:)
Gonna go ahead and add a couple more Landry stories to this favorite. I never want to forget them! I got home from work one day and we went to swing and I said “Landry, swinging with you is my favorite! What’s your favorite??” and she said “Hmmm…Jesus!” !!!! It was so cute and so sweet!
For months, Landry’s cute self has sucked me into laying beside her bed until she falls asleep..which is sweet and all, but just zaps any energy I have left in the day and I leave her room in a sound machine induced daze. One night, I asked her to pick up her toys before bed and we got sidetracked and she did not. When I went to put her down, I said “I’ll come back and check on you, but I have to go pick up your toys.” Well she was so thrilled at that trade off that I escaped the floor for a few nights with the same excuse.
So, last night we were going to bed and she started picking up EVERYTHING and putting it in its place. She turned back to me and said “I pick up my toys so mommy can lay by Lanley”…… OH WOW okay baby, you got me! hahaha I love this sweet age!!
Clancy’s birthday party was too fun. We had a great day with her and then…
We went to visit more cousins!
I love that Landry and Logan have such great little friends built in to our families:)
My BABY is 8 whole months old! Logan is pure JOY. Still just an easy going girl with the brightest little smile! She loves her family so much and sister makes her laugh all day long!
She’s on the move too!

Next up… SURPRISES!
I picked Landry up out of bed from her nap one day when I got home and she immediately rattled off some long sleepy jabber and all I got out of it was Mommy, smile, surprise and D. hahah She was too excited to properly organize her sleepy thoughts;) She had gone over to my moms for a bit and apparently made this sweet little wreath (Declan made one for Kayla too). She could not WAIT to go to Lovie’s..on the way over, she said “Mommy, I SO ESSSSITED!!” ;) Lovie threw in the perfect little Fall soap too!
So truthfully, the surprise here was whether Philip listened to me when I asked him to please pick up some flowers one day on his way home or listened to me when I asked him to never ever stop anywhere and come straight home. Ha! It’s hard to tell how I’m feeling day to day;) but on THIS day I was super excited he came home with flowers. We all needed them I feel like:)
Was able to create this logo for a new business started by two of my childhood best friends (twin sisters). So fun to be able to work on this with them!
Also did a rework of this existing logo to change the name. If you’re in need of something like that, let me know!
